I found this school by accident. Even though I live so close, I never really noticed it. My mother happened to meet Michelle Ruccio then the school President, at a summer concert and she told her all about it. A few weeks later my husband and I wandered in and met the school's director. After a few minutes with her, we knew instantly that this is where we wanted our three-year old daughter to be. We signed up on the spot. Our daughter has blossomed so much and is now in her third year at the Co-op. Being an only child, it was great for her socialization skills. She has many new wonderful new friends and can't wait to go to school.
This year she is in the Kindergarten wrap around program which meets three times a week. She is always coming home with something new she has learned or created. I can always tell what she learned at school and what she learned from the Co-op. I'm sure not many 5 year olds can explain the optic nerve, but my daughter can. The teachers here are very interactive and quite amazing. The science projects really get the kids excited. There is no doubt we made the right decision. The loving and caring teachers and parents make the Co-op feel more like a home than a school. The kids can't wait to get to class. Even the parents enjoy it. At the Co-op you are welcome anytime and are encouraged to share in the fun. I think the opportunity to be directly involved with your child's education is a gift. All too soon, children are behind the locked doors of kindergarten where parent's opinions are left outside. I can see now that my daughter had the best possible preparation and a great head start heading into kindergarten. I know this is a direct result of her time at the East Hanover Co-op.

I am a mother of 3 kids. My 2 oldest kids have gone through the Co-Op and my third is only 1 yr old but she is ready & waiting! A the Co-Op my kids have been taught by the BEST! The teachers care about the kids and they get results. My kids have learned more than the public school requirements and they have learned about being a good friend to others. They have learned social skills that can't be taught at home. The Co-Op is a place where I know my kids are safe and they are learning. It is a family that I am happy & proud to be a part of! I will continue to recommend it to everyone I know!

Dear Staff-
I just wanted to let you know how truly "impressed" I am with your program. Every single day since September "my son" comes home with the most amazing, imaginative things and questions. I would ask him where he learned that and he would tell me Co-op. He is only 5 years old and has absorbed every single bit of information that you all have taught him. I worked in daycare for 16 years and your school goes above and beyond any other curriculum I've come across! It is truly amazing what a couple of hours a day could do to these children just from being in your presence and truly caring about their minds and well being!! If you ever wake up in the morning with a doubt in your head to go to work, please remember these children need you and your expertise! Their day would not be complete without Co-op!!! It is the most worthwhile "amount of money" I have ever spent!

I absolutely love East Hanover Cooperative School! I heard of East Hanover coop through a parent in town and decided to check it out. I went to the school's Open House and met co-op Moms and decided to give it a chance. Great decision!! I love the fact that parents are directly involved with the school. You can participate as much as you feel comfortable with. You can serve on the board, volunteer for class trips or help out during special projects. My son attended the 3 year old , 4 year old and kindergarten wrap around programs. He has made many friends and loves school. My younger child is currently enrolled and is thoroughly enjoying her time at the Coop. Our family loves being part of the East Hanover Co-op family!!
